ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,677,600, issued on July 7, was assigned to INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES Corp. (Armonk, N.Y.).
"Tunable Josephson junction with added dopants" was invented by Charles Thomas Rettner (San Jose, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A Josephson junction device includes a substrate, a base electrode layer, a top electrode layer, a tunnel barrier layer between the base electrode layer and the top electrode layer, and a dopant layer."
The patent was filed on Nov. 22, 2023, under Application No. 18/518,349.
