ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,561,477, issued on Feb. 24, was assigned to International Business Machines Corp. (Armonk, N.Y.).
"Automated sparsity feature selection" was invented by Girmaw Abebe Tadesse (Nairobi, Kenya), William Ogallo (Nairobi, Kenya), George Sirbu (Saline, Mich.), Aisha Walcott (Nairobi, Kenya) and Skyler Speakman (Nairobi, Kenya).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "One or more computer processors discover an anomalous subset through sparsity-based automatic feature selection."
The patent was filed on Oct. 11, 2022, under Application No. 18/045,673.
