ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,730,493, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to Intel Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.).

"Mechanism to override standby power in large memory configuration of workstations to eliminate the need to increase power of standby power rail" was invented by Chuen Ming Tan (Bayan Lepas, Malaysia), Venkataramani Gopalakrishnan (Folsom, Calif.), Aneesh Tuljapurkar (Bangalore, India), Vishwanath Somayaji (Bangalore, India) and Tabassum Yasmin (Bangalore, India).
