US Patent Issued to INCEPT on May 12 for "Implants and biodegradable tissue markers" (Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,622,982, issued on May 12, was assigned to INCEPT LLC (Lexington, Mass.).

"Implants and biodegradable tissue markers" was invented by Patrick Campbell (Belmont, Mass.) and Amarpreet S. Sawhney (Lexington, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Implantable materials may be used in an iatrogenic site. Applications include radioopaque materials for fiducial marking."
