US Patent Issued to Improved Racing Products on April 21 for "Swinging door check valve" (Florida Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,607,270, issued on April 21, was assigned to Improved Racing Products LLC (Orlando, Fla.).

"Swinging door check valve" was invented by Richard Michael Ihns (Orlando, Fla.), Casey A. Fitzgerald (Orlando, Fla.) and Jarott E. Nelson (Orlando, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure relates generally to the field of valves, and, more particularly, to a unique swinging door check valve having an improved swinging flapper door and sealing gasket design."

The patent was filed on Oct. 9, 2024, under Application No. 18/910,676.
