ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,586,441, issued on March 24, was assigned to IGT (Las Vegas).

"Selective redemption of gaming establishment ticket vouchers" was invented by Jeffery Shepherd (Reno, Nev.) and Kevin Higgins (Reno, Nev.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems and methods that associate zero, one or more redemption attributes with a ticket voucher, wherein the associated redemption attribute determines one or more channels by which the ticket voucher may be redeemed."

The patent was filed on Jan. 3, 2024, under Application No. 18/403,399.
