ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,694,759, issued on July 28, was assigned to IGT (Las Vegas, Ill.).
"Leaderboard promotions for gaming systems" was invented by Dwayne R. Nelson (Las Vegas), Patrick Danielson (Las Vegas) and Cameron Filipour (Las Vegas).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Leaderboard promotions in gaming systems which provide one or more players one or more benefits in association with maintaining one or more designated positions on a leaderboard for a designated duration."
The patent was filed on Nov. 28, 2023, under Application No. 18/521,036.
