According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed is a vehicle monitor device wherein, when a wire is pulled and released by operations of an actuator, a monitor plate operates in a telescoping structure such that the length in the upward/downward direction is varied, and a monitor moves straightly upwards/downwards with regard to the monitor plate, thereby implementing an open mode and a closed mode."
