ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,661,626, issued on June 23, was assigned to Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies LLC (Kansas City, Mo.).

"Microsphere synthesis via ultrasonic spray pyrolysis" was invented by Laura Christine Cummings (Kansas City, Mo.), Eric Benjamin Cole (Lee's Summit, Mo.) and Connor Daniel Pearson (Overland Park, Kan.).
