ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,595,294, issued on April 7, was assigned to Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. (Little Falls, N.J.).

"Methods to decrease impurities from recombinant protein manufacturing processes" was invented by Marc Pompiati (Penzberg, Germany) and Christoph Feistl (Penzberg, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a method of reducing the amount of non-aggregate produce-related impurities (NAPRIs) in a buffered solution of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), involving the use of a synthetic depth filter.
