ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,622,405, issued on May 12, was assigned to HM.CLAUSE INC. (Davis, Calif.).

"Hybrid pepper plant named CAPTAIN" was invented by Ariadna Monroy (Davis, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A hybrid pepper plant designated CAPTAIN is disclosed.
