ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,599,984, issued on April 14, was assigned to HILTI AG (Schaan, Liechtenstein).
"Fastening method" was invented by Simon Stahel (Chur, Switzerland) and Uwe Popp (Widnau, Switzerland).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method is provided for fastening a stud to a substrate having a surface layer, in which a recess is created in the substrate, the stud is connected to the substrate in the recess, and the recess around the stud is covered."
The patent was filed on Oct. 2, 2018, under Application No. 16/651,650.
