US Patent Issued to Hill's Pet Nutrition on Oct. 6 for "Pet food compositions" (Kansas Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,751,471, issued on Oct. 6, was assigned to Hill's Pet Nutrition Inc. (Overland Park, Kan.).

"Pet food compositions" was invented by Dennis Jewell (Lawrence, Kan.), Kiran Panickar (Lawrence, Kan.) and Laura Morgan (Saint George, Kan.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are pet food compositions comprising-in relevant part-effective amounts of betaine and carnitine. Methods of making and using these compositions are also described."

The patent was filed on Dec. 16, 2019, under Application No. 17/785,584.
