US Patent Issued to Hill's Pet Nutrition on June 9 for "Pet food compositions, method of treating an inflammatory condition and method of reducing ciculatpro-inflammatory cytokines" (Kansas Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,648,922, issued on June 9, was assigned to Hill's Pet Nutrition Inc. (Overland Park, Kan.).

"Pet food compositions, method of treating an inflammatory condition and method of reducing ciculatpro-inflammatory cytokines" was invented by Dennis Jewell (Lawrence, Kan.) and Kiran Panickar (Lawrence, Kan.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are pet food compositions for reducing circulating pro-inflammatory cytokines in companion animals. Methods of making and using the same are also described."
