ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,667,120, issued on June 30, was assigned to Hill's Pet Nutrition Inc. (Overland Park, Kan.).

"Pet food compositions" was invented by Dayakar Badri (Lawrence, Kan.) and Dennis Jewell (Lawrence, Kan.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are pet food compositions and methods for using them.
