ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,629,337, issued on May 19, was assigned to Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. (Berkeley Heights, N.J.).

"Daptomycin formulation" was invented by Barbara Fumic (Zagreb, Croatia).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates to a solid formulation of daptomycin comprising at least one branched aliphatic amino acid. Solid daptomycin formulation of the present disclosure shows improved reconstituted time.
