ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,600,217, issued on April 14, was assigned to Hendrickson USA LLC (Schaumburg, Ill.).
"Heavy-duty vehicle subframe with battery storage structure" was invented by Jeff R. Zawacki (Channahon, Ill.), R. Scott Fulton (Hudson, Ohio) and David M. Morar Jr. (Port Washington, Ohio).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A subframe for heavy-duty vehicles, the subframe comprising a pair of elongated, longitudinal main members; at least one pair of hangers; and a battery storage structure integrated into the subframe. Each hanger of the at least one pair of hangers is attached to a respective one of the main members."
