ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,771,059, issued on Oct. 20, was assigned to HARTING Electric Stiftung & Co. KG (Espelkamp, Germany).
"Connector module and method for producing same" was invented by Andreas Schwarz (Bunde, Germany) and Irina Lotkemann (Espelkamp, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In order to be able to modify earthing concepts as quickly, flexibly and easily as possible, the earth connection of the shielding housings (20, 20') of a connector module is produced by contact springs (3) that can be clipped onto and removed from the short side of the module's insulating body (1, 1') from the exterior."
