ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,596,335, issued on April 7, was assigned to Hamilton Sundstrand Corp. (Charlotte, N.C.).
"Relay drive systems" was invented by Francis C. Belisle (Beloit, Wis.) and Joshua C. Swenson (Rockford, Ill.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A drive system for a switch can include a control module configured to control, directly or indirectly, a state of a switch between a first state and a second state. The drive system can also include a transition timing system configured to measure a transition time that the switch is in transit between the first state and the second state."
