US Patent Issued to GTI ENERGY on April 7 for "Vertical and helical well designs for enhanced geothermal systems" (Illinois Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,595,784, issued on April 7, was assigned to GTI ENERGY (Des Plaines, Ill.).

"Vertical and helical well designs for enhanced geothermal systems" was invented by Jordan Ciezobka (Addison, Ill.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method and system of recovering heat from geothermal energy with a curved producing well extending around an injection well. The injection well is substantially vertical, and the producing well is helical about the injection well. The producing well extends through a plurality of geologic fractures about the injection well formed by multiple injections made through the injection well."
