US Patent Issued to Google on June 30 for "Systems, apparatus, and methods for removing blur in an image" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,670,562, issued on June 30, was assigned to Google LLC (Mountain View, Calif.).

"Systems, apparatus, and methods for removing blur in an image" was invented by Mauricio Delbracio (Sunnyvale, Calif.) and Peyman Milanfar (Menlo Park, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems, apparatus, and methods are presented for deblurring images. One method includes receiving an image and estimating blur for the image. The method also includes applying a deblurring filter to the image and reducing halo from the image."

The patent was filed on Nov. 15, 2021, under Application No. 18/251,663.
