ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,607,209, issued on April 21, was assigned to GOODRICH ACTUATION SYSTEMS SAS (Vernon, France).
"Control system" was invented by Antoine Fabre (Saint Pierre de Bailleul, France) and Olivier Vanneuville (Bretigny-sur-orge, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A control system includes: an actuator piston having an end cap, the actuator piston being reversibly translatable; a supporting member coupled to the end cap, the supporting member being configured to couple the end cap to a sensor; and a retaining device configured to maintain the coupling between the end cap and the supporting member when the end cap fails."
