ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,583,880, issued on March 24, was assigned to Glycom A/S (Horsholm, Denmark).

"Separation of oligosaccharides" was invented by Nikolay Khanzhin (Humlebaek, Denmark), Markus Jondelius Hederos (Trelleborg, Sweden) and Pierre Chassagne (Beaumont, France).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a method for the separation of two hydrophilic neutral oligosaccharides from each other with a chromatography on a bromine functionalized polystyrene cross-linked with divinylbenzene (BPS-DVB) stationary medium."

The patent was filed on Dec. 19, 2019, under Application No. 17/415,274.
