ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,599,411, issued on April 14, was assigned to GLOBERIDE INC. (Tokyo).
"Rod for spinal brace" was invented by Katsuhiro Oikawa (Tokyo) and Takuji Kawamura (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fixture rod which reduces damage at the time of fixing with a screw, has high rigidity, and has high durability against a deformation load is provided. A fixture rod according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is configured to comprise a core member and a reinforcing fiber layer provided on the core member."
The patent was filed on Sept. 10, 2021, under Application No. 18/027,818.
