ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,678,481, issued on July 14, was assigned to GLADIATOR BIOSCIENCES INC. (Mill Valley, Calif.).
"Gla domains as therapeutic agents" was invented by Maxine Bauzon (Hercules, Calif.) and Terry Hermiston (Mill Valley, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure relates to the recombinant Gla domain proteins and their use targeting phosphatidylserine (PtdS) moieties on the surface of cells, particularly those expressing elevated levels of PtdS, such as cells undergoing apoptosis."
The patent was filed on Sept. 25, 2020, under Application No. 17/032,162.
