US Patent Issued to Givaudan on Oct. 27 for "Sweetness enhancing compositions" (Dutch, American, Australian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 27 -- United States Patent no. 12,772,999, issued on Oct. 27, was assigned to Givaudan S.A. (Vernier, Switzerland).

"Sweetness enhancing compositions" was invented by Zhonghua Jia (Cincinnati), Xiaogen Yang (West Chester, Ohio), Esther Van Ommeren (Lelystad, Netherlands), Jenifer Augelli (Cincinnati), Adam Moyle (Umina, Australia) and Kimberley Gray (Loveland, Ohio).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A mixture of the individual ingredients stevioside and rebaudioside A provided in a ratio of stevioside to rebaudioside A of about 1:1 to about 4:1."

The patent was filed on Oct. 24, 2012, under Application No. 14/352,223.
