ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,653,535, issued on June 16, was assigned to G.I. Windows Inc. (Canton, Mass.).
"Magnetic anastomosis devices with varying magnetic force at a distance" was invented by Dane T. Seddon (Boston) and Peter F. Sugar (Charlestown, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention provides systems, devices, and methods for the delivery, deployment, and positioning of magnetic compression devices at a desired site so as to improve the accuracy of anastomoses creation between tissues, organs, or the like."
