ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,591,082, issued on March 31, was assigned to Fujikura Ltd. (Tokyo).
"Optical computing device and method for producing same" was invented by Yuichiro Kunai (Tokyo) and Masahiro Kashiwagi (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An optical computing device includes stacked light diffraction layers contained in a dried gel and each including microcells that have respective refractive indexes set individually and are disposed in a matrix form."
The patent was filed on Aug. 3, 2022, under Application No. 18/015,498.
