According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A rotor includes a rotor core; a plurality of magnets respectively inserted in a plurality of first through-holes formed in the rotor core; and a plurality of rods respectively inserted in a plurality of second through-holes formed in the rotor core. A first gap between each of the first through-holes and the corresponding magnet is larger than a second gap between each of the second through-holes and the corresponding rod."
