ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,672,700, issued on July 7, was assigned to EQUESTRIAN INNOVATIONS LLC (Highland Park, N.J.).

"Adjustable spur assemblies" was invented by Joshua M. Ostrin (Highland Park, N.J.) and Jason Felder (Highland Park, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An adjustable spur assembly includes a yoke configured to mount to a rider's footwear, an active tip assembly, and a control assembly. The control assembly is operably coupled to the active tip assembly and configured to enable the active tip assembly to move relative to the yoke between extended and retracted positions."
