ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,595,280, issued on April 7, was assigned to EMORY UNIVERSITY (Atlanta).
"Phosphoramidates for the treatment of hepatitis B virus" was invented by Abel de la Rosa (Alpharetta, Ga.) and Gregory R. Bluemling (Decatur, Ga.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are compounds to the treatment of infectious diseases and methods of treating such diseases. The compounds are derivatives of clevudine."
