ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,603,704, issued on April 14, was assigned to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Inc. (Daytona Beach, Fla.).

"Beaconless laser alignment with beamforming" was invented by Eduardo Antonio Rojas (Port Orange, Fla.) and Chengtao Xu (South Daytona, Fla.).
