ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,577,010, issued on March 17, was assigned to Elopak ASA (Spikkestad, Norway) and Shikoku Kakoki Co. Ltd (Tokushima, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a filling machine and a method for filling product into containers, in particular liquid foodstuff. The filling machine provides a working chamber with a clean zone for filling containers while the containers are conveyed through the working chamber. The clean zone is provided by introducing HEPA-filtered air into the working chamber through fluid inlets."
