ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,663,241, issued on June 23, was assigned to DUPONT SAFETY & CONSTRUCTION INC. (Wilmington, Del.).
"Ballistic resistant material made of mechanically entangled woven fabrics without nonwoven fibers and method of making thereof" was invented by Joseph Hovanec (Richmond, Va.), Scott Janco (Richmond, Va.), Shekoufeh Shahkarami (Mississauga, Canada) and Kevin Mulcahy (Richmond, Va.).
