ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,674,011, issued on July 7, was assigned to Dow Global Technologies LLC (Midland, Mich.).
"Modified polyethylene resins and process for making the same" was invented by Alexander Williamson (Rosharon, Texas) and Rahul Sharma (Pearland, Texas).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention is a process to modify a starting polyethylene resin composition. In the process, a starting polyethylene resin composition is extruded with at least one primary antioxidant and a free-radical generator to make a modified polyethylene resin composition."
The patent was filed on Aug. 18, 2021, under Application No. 18/254,334.
