US Patent Issued to Dignite on Sept. 8 for "Pant clothing for uniped" (California Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,727,628, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to Dignite LLC (Adelanto, Calif.).

"Pant clothing for uniped" was invented by Tonisha Muhammad (Adelanto, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A pant clothing item for uniped or bilateral amputee persons includes a modified distal opening of at least one pant leg with a cover portion, where upon fastening the cover portion to the modified distal opening, the cover portion encloses the distal opening of the pant leg and protects the residual limb from exposure."

The patent was filed on Oct. 16, 2024, under Application No. 18/917,810.
