US Patent Issued to DAIICHI SANKYO on Sept. 8 for "Combination pharmaceutical of temozolomide and mutant IDHI enzyme inhibitor" (Japanese Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,728,150, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to DAIICHI SANKYO COMPANY Ltd. (Tokyo).

"Combination pharmaceutical of temozolomide and mutant IDHI enzyme inhibitor" was invented by Takahiko Seki (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "By combining temozolomide with a mutant IDH1 enzyme inhibitor, it was discovered that the dosage of temozolomide could be reduced without decreasing the antitumor effect, enabling us to provide a combination drug with excellent efficacy against cancers with IDH1 mutations."
