US Patent Issued to Daifuku on July 14 for "Article transport facility" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,679,648, issued on July 14, was assigned to Daifuku Co. Ltd. (Osaka, Japan).

"Article transport facility" was invented by Toru Konagaya (Hinocho, Japan), Akira Takeuchi (Hinocho, Japan) and Daiki Takagi (Hinocho, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "When a second area is set to a travel prohibition area, a control device prohibits a transport vehicle from traveling in the second area but allows the transport vehicle to travel in a first area and a third area. While travel in the second area is prohibited, the transport vehicle moves between the first area and the third area via a second connection route on a second travel floor."
