ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,592,436, issued on March 31, was assigned to Dai Nippon Printing Co. Ltd. (Tokyo).

"Battery packaging material, manufacturing method therefor, battery, and aluminum alloy foil" was invented by Rikiya Yamashita (Tokyo) and Makoto Amano (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A battery packaging material includes a laminate with at least a base layer, an aluminum alloy foil layer, and a heat-fusible resin layer in this order, and in which the aluminum alloy foil layer satisfies the chemical composition in JIS A8021 and has a Si content of no higher than 0.08 mass %."
