ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 5 -- United States Patent no. D1,139,970, issued on Aug. 4, was assigned to Covidien LP (Mansfield, Mass.).
"Inner cannula for a tracheostomy tube" was invented by Edward P.J. Ball (Ballymahon, Ireland), Stanley B. Kaus (Longmont, Colo.), Sean G. Morris (Roscommon, Ireland) and James P. Curley (Shannonbridge, Ireland).
