ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,560,765, issued on Feb. 24, was assigned to CORNING RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Corp. (Corning, N.Y.).
"Polarity changeable optical connector" was invented by Joel Christopher Rosson (Hickory, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates to a connector assembly and a corresponding method to reverse polarity of the connector. The method enables polarity reversal without bending/twisting optical fibers within the connector assembly."
The patent was filed on Feb. 21, 2023, under Application No. 18/111,927.
