ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,577,146, issued on March 17, was assigned to Corning Inc. (Corning, N.Y.).

"Borate and silicoborate optical glasses with high refractive index and low liquidus temperature" was invented by Antoine Marie Joseph Lepicard (Melun, France), Jian Luo (Painted Post, N.Y.) and Alexander I Priven (Sejong-si, South Korea).
