ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,594,181, issued on April 7, was assigned to CONVATEC Ltd. (Flintshire, Great Britain).

"Ostomy appliance" was invented by Marcus Hoggarth (London), Oliver Poyntz (London), Kimahni Emsley (London) and Daljinder Sanghera (London).

The inner wall has a stomal inlet and the outer wall has a gas vent.
