ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,622,861, issued on May 12, was assigned to Conopco Inc. (Hoboken, N.J.).

"Stable wash composition" was invented by Douglas John Hiban (Newtown, Conn.) and Tirucherai Varahan Vasudevan (Bethany, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention is directed to a stable composition wash composition. The wash composition comprises a mixture of naturally derived and biodegradable sulfated polysaccharides. The wash composition has a viscosity of 40,000 cps or less, and surprisingly, is free of syneresis, discoloration and malodor, even after being stored at elevated temperatures."
