ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,624,598, issued on May 12, was assigned to ConocoPhillips Co. (Houston).

"Fiber-to-casing bonding" was invented by Jesse Constantine (Houston).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods and tools for deploying cables, such as fiber optic cable, downhole in well using adhesive to adhere the cable to an inside surface of a casing."
