ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,624,784, issued on May 12, was assigned to Colder Products Co. (Roseville, Minn.).

"Fluid couplings with an in-line flow valve" was invented by Samuel M. Jang (Woodbury, Minn.), Jack T. Stangl (Falcon Heights, Minn.) and Loi T. Truong (Savage, Minn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Some fluid couplings, as described in this document, have an actuatable valve. In some examples, the actuatable valves provide an unobstructed flow path when switched to the "open" position and a closed flow path when switched to the "closed" position."

The patent was filed on Sept. 13, 2024, under Application No. 18/884,812.
