ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,712,806, issued on Aug. 18, was assigned to Cisco Technology Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).

"Resiliency and symmetric routing in networks during service chain failure" was invented by Pritam Baruah (Fremont, Calif.), Satish Mahadevan (San Ramon, Calif.), Laxmikantha Reddy Ponnuru (San Ramon, Calif.) and Balaji Sundararajan (Fremont, Calif.).
