ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,627,118, issued on May 12, was assigned to Champion Aerospace LLC (Liberty, S.C.).

"Ignition system and igniter having ruthenium ground electrode and platinum-iridium alloy center electrode" was invented by Steven J. Cannady (Liberty, S.C.), Thomas L. Justice (Anderson, S.C.), George D. Lambrinos (Fountain Inn, S.C.) and Stanley K. Thompson (Liberty, S.C.).
