According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fish measuring board has an elongated board with an upper surface with a trough to receive a fish. A stopper at one end of the board closes the trough and abuts to the fish. A scale is carried by the board and extends from the stopper to measure a length of the fish. A hollow in the board is substantially sealed and provides buoyancy to the board. A track in the bottom of the board can receive and attach an accessory."
