ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,576,168, issued on March 17, was assigned to CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY (Cleveland).
"Peptide PET/SPECT probes specific to oncoproteins in tumor extracellular matrix" was invented by Zheng-Rong Lu (Cleveland) and Songqi Gao (Cleveland).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A PET/SPECT probe includes the following formula:P-L-C wherein P is a EDB-FN targeting peptide, C is a PET/SPECT contrast agent; and L is an optional linker that covalently links the peptide to the contrast agent."
The patent was filed on Jan. 17, 2020, under Application No. 17/424,104.
